Choosing a Comfortable Fit
Comfort comes down to weight distribution and a few contact points. Run through these checks whenever you try a new frame.
- Nose: the frame should rest without pinching and without sliding when you look down.
- Ears: the temple tips should follow the curve behind your ear with light contact, not pressure.
- Temples (sides of your head): the arms should be parallel to your head, not bowing outwards.
- Weight: lighter acetate and metal frames reduce marks on the nose during long days.
Minor adjustments to nose pads and temple bend can usually be made by an optician if a frame is close but not quite right.
